Eminem Best Rapper Ever . . . Not Exactly According to Irv Gotti

Okay, there is super major bias, as well as interests applied to this debate. Who is the greatest rapper ever, is its own discussion.

Is Irv Gotti's point valid? Is he right in saying that Eminem would not survive in a battle the way Jay-Z or DMX did? Is Eminem's success deserve the same merit that Jay-Z has?

So, lyrically Eminem is one of the most creative rappers ever. He deserves all the respect in the world for creating his own rhyme style. Irv Gotti does have a point though on the case of Eminem. All of Eminem's first singles were the corny MTV singles. Should they be excluded from his resume? No.

Eminem has, however, flooded hip hop heads with violent creative music. Eminem's rise came after his triumph in the 1997 rap olympics. He always says he did the corny records to sell records. There is no doubt though that his success cannot be denied, as he reaches out into a pool of record buying public.

Personally, on my list, Eminem is in the top 15 rappers of all time. He does deserve to be in the disscussion. Irv Gotti should not knock the fact that his first single is always MTV friendly. I think it shows how broad the genre of music has gotten. In a few years I hope to be disscussing different types of hip hop the same way rock music has been divided into different styles.
