Bad Move '09

Kanye West decided to interrupt Taylor Swift's exception speech in order to say his opinion. Facebook and Twitter stormed with immediate responses to Kanye (which shows the power social networking sites have on people expressing their opinions, interesting). Why is it a bad move? Well Kanye has long had a reputation of being arrogant and not having respect for others. The move to run onto stage and express his opinion has made him look like a HUGE jerk. Honestly, what he said was not bad nor was it an attack on Taylor Swift. The move just was unprofessional. That is not the way you respond to a bad award.

Now, let’s consider the circumstances. So imagine if Beyonce did not win the best video award. Then would we be mad at Kanye? There still would have been resentment toward Kanye, but not as dramatic. Overall, the drama was great and Beyonce’s move at the end was really classy.

Kanye did issue an apology on the move which was due.
