So Nike is officially great with commercials. For their latest Lebron vs. Kobe commercial, they hired Lupe Fiasco to play a reindeer who is 'beefing' with Santa Claus. The actual record did not even come out bad.
Is this selling out? It is technically. Lupe Fiasco is anti-materialism so for him to do a commercial for Nike knowing how they abuse workers overseas, suggests that he is not obliging to standards he set.
Does it make the commercial anyless hot? Nope. As far as commercials go, the play on common rap imagery is dead on. You have the reindeer playint he protagonist and the hype being built around a game of basketball.
Needless-to-say, I'm hyped.
