Battle of the Big Wigs . . .

So, the US foreign policy is not all there. This political cartoon came out recently in an article that covered the Copenhagan Climate Summit. Here is a link to the article. In brief Gideon Rachman covered how the US's free-world agenda may not be as important as the rising power status of democracies around the world.

How awkward is it that the United States was not able to make a deal of some sort?

How does this relate to you? Well, for starters it is an indicator of how much capitalism is a stronghold in the world today. Think about it, the United States is a rich country and many countries around the world would rather make economic deals rather than side with ideals. The US asserts its power a variety of ways including sanctions to wars.

You as a 'free' citizen should be concerned with this turnout. It shows how important money is as a base of values in the world. The power to do many things rest on it, from buying items to starting a business.

So as Obama preps for his immigration legislation overhaul, be concerned with his perception because it might hinder it getting passed (like healthcare).

Here is a Youtube video of Hugo Chavez's speech during the summit. Its in Spanish cause he says his words better than a translator can.
