Rally Public Support, Make it a Public Problem

To put it briefly a lot of people are addicted to tv. So, what does Cablevision and Scripps Nework decide to do about no Food Network or HGTV on TV for Cablevision customers?

Make it our problem.

Kids its time we stopped and took a look at the professionals. This is a battle between corporations. Briefly put, Cablevision's strategy for not being able to finalize a contract for the new year was to explain why they did not want to sign a contract. Tell everyone. In their TV spot, they even went as far as to put it in perspective. We're going to have to pay more, and we are not going to take up the bill. Your going to pay more in the long run.

What does Scripps do to combat this? Make it seem to the public, that it is just business and this type of things always happen. Don't worry about it, we miss you. Do they have partners? Well PIX is playing one of their programs on Sunday.

Who's winning? Well both sides are reported to be closer to a deal. After Sunday, there will be a bigger indication of who's going to win.

As a subscriber, appreciate Cabelvision for being cheap. Please not though, that if Cablevision pays more for these channels, expect that you will pay more because, even though they are really wealthy, they are still a business.
