We Are the World, New vs. Old

So in no way shape or form, am I comparing why these songs were made. Tragedies could be compared, but it is hard to disregard the people behind them. May all the souls affected be uplifted and be given continuous good fortune.

The original song features some good oldies. Its raspy vs. smooth. The sounds contrast and show how different people can come together for the benefit of a cause. No one voice was extremely overpowering. The song had flow. It was put together and did make its point.

What does the new one indicate about pop music in our time. Autotune was featured, a rap section was added, and there were not many raspy rock voices. Some stand voices were Jennifer Hudson, and Celine Dion. The beat also was not slow. The words to the song were slightly different, and Michael Jackson still made the cut.

Which one is better? Well, they both are different. They are two different songs. In terms of musical layout, both of them manage to mix in voices well. You can certainly here the technology of today, affecting today's version.

Which one do I prefer, the older version in terms of actual song (it goes back and forth between tone nicely), the newer version in terms of celebrity star power (I know more about them).
